Hello to all who participated in this morning's East Bay Consultants Forum at the Buttercup Grill in Oakland (off I-80). It was exciting to see a room full of people join us to exchange, explore, and enlist each others' ideas on Luanne Stevenson's presentation topic: "Eat That Frog and Other Great Strategies to Stop Procrastination and Rebalance Your Busy Life."
Special thanks to colleagues John Weathington and Bart Gragg for co-hosting with me and helping run the meeting smoothly, to Dale Radcliff and Lorrie Zupan for IMC-related announcements, to Salomé Rodriguez-Thorson and Luanne for posing thought-provoking questions during the open forum, and to those of you who contributed by mingling, offering your feedback during the open forum, and by completing the event's evaluation form.
I write this partly to meet Luanne's suggested 48-hour period to take action on something that helps toward achieving personal goals e.g., identifying who and what my resources are toward enhancing my consulting practice. My answer: Acknowledging fellow consultants like you. Thanks!
You made my morning, you made my day. No kidding! You are a reason I've remained active with this ABC group. You're open-minded, generous, humorous, smart, and resourceful and you share that with your colleagues in your greetings, presentations, announcements, or suggestions.
It's been a pleasure to see East Bay Consultants Forum participants contribute to making our group as energetic as it was this morning --- some of you as early as 7:00 a.m.! Please let Barbara Chan or me know your interest in being a future presenter or your ideas on future program topics. We thrive through each other's generosity with time and greatly appreciate your contributions.
Be well and I hope to see you again. Onward! (Note: Next meeting is on 7/17, with the presentation, "A Consultant's Well-Being: Making Workplace Choices that Maximize Productivity, Performance, and Safety" by Kathy Hart and Catherine Adams Lee)
